Are you looking for a DIY yoni soap recipe? Here’s how to make your own yoni soap bar at home using natural ingredients.

Yoni is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning “womb” or “source.” It refers to the female reproductive organs and the feminine life-creating power.

Products like yoni eggs, which are inserted vaginally, have been used for hundreds of years to strengthen the pelvic floor, especially after childbirth.

Yoni steaming is a more recent alternative health trend that is said to alleviate pain and help with menstrual cramps, although its actual health benefits are dubious.

Yoni soap is another new product that touts several health benefits. A yoni bar is meant to cleanse the vulva, with the added benefits of fighting odor, restoring the balance of pH levels, and fighting bacteria, fungus, and inflammation.

Is Yoni Soap Safe?

It’s important to note that yoni soap is for external use only on the vulva, and should never be inserted into the vagina.

Many yoni soaps for sale contain harmful additives that should not be present in any soap, much less feminine soap bars made to clean sensitive regions. This includes synthetic dyes, essential oils, synthetic fragrances, dried flower petals, dried herbs, and other skin irritants.

While a pink bar of soap with dried rose petals in it may look pretty, it’s not a good idea to use for cleaning your private area, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Just because a yoni bar claims to be made with “all-natural ingredients” doesn’t mean it’s necessarily safe to use.

Additionally, while yoni soap may help to fight odor, restore pH balance, and fight bacteria, fungus, and inflammation, it doesn’t mean that it can replace attention from medical professionals or cure medical issues like yeast infections.

If you are experiencing any sort of unusual issues like a strong odor or an infection, you should always seek professional medical help.

How to Make Your Own Yoni Soap

The good news is, it’s possible to make your own yoni soap at home with natural ingredients that are safe for external use on your lady parts.

However, everyone’s skin is different, and you will want to consider your skin sensitivity and any allergies you may have before making your own yoni soap.

You may also want to patch test your natural handmade soap on a patch of skin on your arm before using it on your more sensitive private part areas.

All Natural DIY Yoni Soap Recipe

There are several ways to make DIY soap, but the melt and pour method is the easiest and safest and requires the fewest materials.

In order to make your own DIY yoni soap at home, you will need the following materials:

  • Microwave
  • Heat-resistant bowl for the microwave
  • Measuring spoons and whisks
  • Soap mold

While you may already have some of the main ingredients at home, you will also need soap molds. You can buy a kit like this on Amazon or at your local craft and hobby store.

You can use the following ingredients to make an all-natural DIY yoni soap bar:

  • 32 oz goat milk melt and pour soap base
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp rose kaolin clay powder
  • ½ tbsp raw shea butter
  • ½ tbsp castor oil

You can buy a goat milk soap base on Amazon or at a local craft and hobby store.

The apple cider vinegar offers cleansing properties, while the coconut oil, shea butter, and castor oil add soothing and lathering properties to the soap.

The rose kaolin clay powder gives an all-natural, non-irritating pinkish color to your soap.

Instructions

Once you have all your materials and ingredients, here’s how you can make your own DIY yoni bar at home:

  1. Cut your soap base into chunks and place it in a heat-resistant microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave the soap base at a high temperature for 30-second intervals, removing it to stir until it is fully melted.
  3. Once the soap base is melted, stir in the apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, shea butter, castor oil, and rose kaolin clay powder.
  4. Stir until all ingredients are blended thoroughly.
  5. Pour the mixture into the silicone soap mold that you are using, then store the mold in a cool, dry place for 24 hours to allow the soap to harden.
  6. Remove the soap from the mold and cut it into bars if needed.
  7. Allow the soap to cure for at least one week before using it.

This is an easy way to make your own yoni soap for cleaning your external intimate area.

The best way to use this soap is to apply it gently with a clean bath sponge and rinse with warm water.

Should You Make Your Own Yoni Soap?

Unlike the internal vagina, which is a self-cleaning organ, the exterior lady bits require regular cleaning like any other external body part.

Using special soaps for the vulva is not necessary, but since it is a more delicate area, it can be helpful to use a dedicated feminine wash or soap.

However, it’s important to remember that yoni soap should never be used internally on the vagina. Yoni soap also does not offer outlandish benefits like curing menstrual cramps, regulating menstrual cycles, or tightening the vagina, as some sellers may claim.

For any vaginal health issues, you should always consult a medical professional first.
