How To Style & Wear Platform Converse Outfits 2023

Converse has been around forever and has made a solid reputation for itself since its inception in the 1890s.
From low tops to slip-ons, platforms, and high tops, Converse has something for everyone.
The latest style that has caught the eye of many, including myself, is the platform style.
Since receiving them, they quickly became one of my go-to pairs for everyday wear.
Today, I’ll be sharing some of the easiest and best platform Converse outfits that you can easily recreate.
The best part?
You probably already have most of these items in your closet!
How To Style Platform Converse Outfits 2023
Before we get into the outfits I want to share a little info about the two sneakers I’m wearing with all of these outfits.
I purchased these platform Converse last year and have since then gotten so much use out of them.
They quickly became one of my favorite shoes, and for good reason.
For starters, they are CRAZY comfortable.
In terms of comfort, there is no comparison between these platforms and the traditional bulky high top chuck taylors.
These sneakers feel like you’re walking on a cloud and they are no doubt the lightest sneakers I’ve ever owned.
I also find that they fit true to size and there was no “breaking in” necessary. Always a plus.
The black Converse shoes in this post are a bit edgier but also just as comfortable!
Now let’s get into some of these simple outfit ideas.
1 – With A Mini Sweatshirt Dress
This high top Converse outfit is so cute yet SO easy.
A sweatshirt dress is like a romper in terms of simplicity.
It looks great but requires hardly any effort.
Throw on a simple crossbody bag to finish off the look.
2 – With Denim Shorts & A Jacket
Here’s a simple look for transitioning between seasons.
Denim high-waisted shorts are a closet staple that can be styled in so many ways.
For cooler summer nights, pair them with your Converse platforms, a white shirt, and a button-up jacket for a casual yet put-together outfit.
3 – A Monochrome Outfit
A comfortable, neutral, monochromatic set is perfect for pairing with a pair of platform Converse in warmer climates.
If you need a little extra shape just throw something around the waist to show off your curves.
A denim jacket is a great choice but a button-up shirt would work as well.
4 – With Jeans And A Tee
I like to think of my personal style as sporty chic so this simple jeans and tee is something I wear on the daily!
Whether you love skinny jeans, mom jeans, or boyfriend jeans, they all make cute outfits.
Polish off the ultimate cool but casual look with your high-top sneakers for a youthful look.
5 – With A Mini Skirt & Graphic Tee
A denim skirt is a good alternative if you don’t like denim shorts.
Pair it with your favorite graphic t-shirt and your white platform Converse sneakers and you’ve got yourself an easy and fashion-forward look.
This past year, denim maxi skirts have also come back in style.
If you prefer more coverage, you can try swapping out the mini for a midi length option.
6 – With A Sweatsuit
A good sweatsuit is the perfect way to look polished yet still be comfy and cozy!
This is my favorite look once the cooler months roll around.
Finish the look with your favorite pair of platforms and if you want to elevate the look a little bit, add a trench coat!

7 – With Workout Shorts & A Crop Top
If you prefer a more casual style for everyday wear, an athleisure look is a great option.
Not only can you wear this look for running errands and hitting the park with your kids, but you can definitely get a quick low-intensity workout in as well.

8 – With Denim Shorts & A Tank Top
This is one of my favorite outfits for traveling.
When we travel I always like casual wear that includes layers (especially on a plane), so this look is perfect.
It’s also great if you’ll be doing a lot of sightseeing.
It’s something that you can be comfortable walking around in all day, but it’s also cute enough for taking pics in!

9 – With Leggings & A Hoodie And/Or Vest
Ahhhh leggings, a girl’s best friend!
One of the latest trends is this faux leather pair by Spanx.
Although they are leggings, they have a sheen on them that makes them a bit more elevated.
Not to mention, they are extremely comfortable and flattering.

Just be sure when pairing your Converse platform sneakers with them that the length is just right.
You don’t want to be stuffing your leggings into your sneakers.
A pair that hits above the ankle bone is ideal.
If you’re not into the vest, swap it out with a faux leather jacket instead.
This is such an easy way to create a warm and fashionable winter look.
10 – With A T-Shirt Dress
Sneakers paired with dresses are so on-trend.
If you prefer a contrasting color to your white sneakers, this black and white combo might be one you like.
As mentioned above, a sweater dress pairs perfectly with high-top Converse.
However, when the weather warms up you can switch the sweater style for a t-shirt version.
I tend to stick to neutrals in the fall and winter months, but as it gets a bit warmer you can swap out the little black dress for dresses in bright colors, too.
The one important thing to focus on when pairing a dress with high top platform Converse is the length of your dress.
Typically, a dress above the knee works best for balance however, if you’re taller you can likely get away with longer dresses as well.
11. Hooded Sweatshirt Dress
Love an all black outfit?
This look is for you!
This is one of the best dresses I’ve ever found on Amazon and it is perfect for styling with sneakers.
I don’t have a ton of pics wearing these black platform Converse, but they are just as good as the white ones.
I just don’t get as much use out of them because they are definitely a bit funkier but they are so cute!
I would consider these streetwear shoes whereas the white “move” Converse are more casual everyday shoes.
The rubber sole on these are different than the white ones, and while they aren’t as lightweight, they’re still 100 times lighter than the classic style chucks.
Just like the white platform Converse styles, there are a ton of different ways you can style these black ones.

What else can you wear with Platform Converse?
This type of outfit you put together will always depend on the setting.
For a business casual setting in the winter season, oversized blazers and t-shirts with fitted jeans are a great combination for platform sneaks.
For lunch with friends in the summer months, you could go the white-on-white route with white jeans, a white bodysuit, and your white platform Converse, then finish the look with a flannel around your waist.
Are Converse platforms hard to walk in?
Since there are various styles of platform Converse, I don’t want to speak for all of them.
However, the style I’m, wearing throughout this post, as well as this pair, is incredibly lightweight and easy to walk in.
This one something that I was actually concerned about myself however, I find that way more comfortable and easy to walk in than the regular Converse Chuck Taylor style.
What Socks To Wear With Converse Platforms?
Although classic Chuck Taylor sneakers often require a very specific sock, the platform styles don’t.
I actually wear my regular ankle socks.
The material from the shoes doesn’t rub on my ankle at all, so having lower-cut socks is totally fine.
Is It Ok To Drive In Platform Converse?
Yes!
I wear mine to drive all the time and don’t notice a difference between these sneakers and any other sneakers that I wear.
The thick soles may look heavy and clunky, but they are actually like 1/10th of the weight of a classic pair of Converse.
Is Converse Still In Style In 2023?
Absolutely!
Converse has been around since 1908 and has remained a leader in the fashion world ever since!
Converse are classic shoes that are comfortable, good quality, and available in many styles.
