I’d like to start this off by saying that I’m a mom to 3 young children so to say that we’ve had our fair share of bean bag chairs is an understatement.

We’ve had big ones, small ones, bean bag chairs, bean bag loungers etc.

A bean bag chair is like a testament to childhood. Everyone wants one, has one, or has at least sat in one.

Bean bags come in all different shapes and sizes, materials, and fillings.

We just got our first Moon Pod bean bag chair not long ago, so today I’m sharing a deep dive into the details with this Moon Pod review so you can decide if the price tag is worth the splurge.

Before we get into the specifics, let’s first go over what exactly a Moon Pod bean bag chair is.

A Moon Pod bean bag chair is a luxury seat that offers both comfort AND support. You can sit, recline, or sleep on a Moon Pod without sinking down into the stuffing, as you would in most other bean bags.

You can also rest easy knowing that the Moon Pod holds up to roughly 300 pounds.

Moon Pod Materials

Moon Pod differs from its competitors in many ways, one of which is with the materials used. Moon Pod is filled with high-density beads which helps you to feel like you’re floating.

Additionally, the covers of the moon pod are stretchy, yet soft, and allow for flexibility in the bean bag. This allows the bean bag to move with your body and adjust to your position.

Are moon pods actually comfortable?

Absolutely. Our kids will lay on the Mood Pod and read for quite some time, but they also love to just lounge on it as well.

As adults, we love the Moon Pod because it offers a combination of both support AND comfort, something I have yet to find in ANY other bean bag I’ve ever sat on. The only way I can think to describe it is that it almost feels like one of those stress-release balls that you smush around in your hand.

If you’ve been torn between the Moon Pod Vs. Lovesac there are a few key differences to keep in mind and they are:

You cannot recline on a Lovesac like you can on a Moon Pod.
The Moon Pod is larger AND lighter.
The materials used in Moon Pod are superior to those used in the Lovesac.

Is Moon Pod Worth It?

We think so. The quality is hands-down the absolute best of all the bean bags we’ve ever had. It’s big enough for an adult and big enough for several children at once.

Our children love the Moon Pod and move it from room to room to use regularly.

And in addition to the quality of these loungers, they’re also easy on the eyes and mesh well with a wide variety of home decor styles.
